How You Can Help
Many of you in the University of Chicago community have asked how you can help those most affected by this crisis.
Support The South Side Community
Today, across our Hyde Park campus and the broader South Side community, which includes adult and pediatric patients diagnosed with COVID-19, the UChicago Medicine frontline health care workers caring for them, families facing food insecurity, and the nonprofits and small businesses that serve these communities every day and are more essential than ever.
Join with UChicago today to support small businesses, nonprofits, and food insecure members of our community on the South Side.
Support UChicago Medicine’s COVID-19 Response
Support essential health care workers, patients, and families experiencing hardships as a result of this public health crisis, while also helping to provide much-needed equipment, supplies, and facilities.
- Support Health Care Heroes: UChicago Medicine health care workers are providing essential patient care around the clock during this crisis, while also trying to provide for themselves and their families. Many of us have benefited from their expert care and guidance, and now it’s our turn to lend a helping hand—so they can focus on this vital work—while we lessen their personal burdens, such as child care costs, elder care, transportation needs, and household supplies and necessities.
- Support Patients and Families: Help us meet the critical needs of patients and families impacted by COVID-19, including needed hospital equipment and supplies, temporary facilities for screening and monitoring patients, patient/family hardship support, and technology to connect patients and families during visitor restrictions.
- Most Urgent Needs: Support the most urgent COVID-19 needs across the UChicago Medicine health system.
